Distinguish Between ICT and IT
What is ICT?
ICT means Information Communication Technology. It refers to technologies that provide access to information through telecommunications. This include the internet, wireless networks, cell phones, and other communication mediums.
The usage of ICT in everyday life
We can use ICT in our everyday life such as education, business, government, banking, health care and also science.
What is IT?
Information Technology is the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data.
Eg. telecommunications products, website, multimedia etc...
There are two concepts of information technology such as
(1) Information technology architecture
(2) Information technology infrastructure
What is Information technology architecture?
# It is a map or plan of the information assets in an organization.
# Integrates entire organization's business needs for information, infrastructure and applications.
What is Information technology infrastructure?
IT infrastructure is a physical facilities, IT components, IT service and IT personnel that support an entire organization.
IT components is a computer hardware, software and communication technologies.
IT Personnel is a people work with information technology.
IT services is a service that provided for people or customer. (eg, data management, system development and security management.)
